About the Competion

CanSat is a simulation of a real satellite, with all the systems a satellite should have. Its volume is the size of a can of soda. The challenge for students is to design all the subsystems that can be found on a satellite in this small space:

  • Power supply

  • Sensors

  • Communication system

In the competition, the CanSat satellites are launched by rocket to an altitude of about 1km. Here, they will detach from the launch vehicle and begin their mission, which could be a science experiment or a technology demonstration. After a safe landing, the teams will analyse and present the data collected.

Secondary Mission

Our secondary mission is to explore the area from which Cansat was launched and determine whether it is suitable for human life.
To do this, we will look at the air composition, gamma/ beta radiation levels and create a 3D topographic map of the surface
